The 2026 Sydney Oceania Open & Australian Artistic Swimming Championships brought athletes, officials and supporters together at Sydney Olympic Park for six days of world‑class competition and community celebration.
A vibrant Welcome Event, athlete parade and Closing Ceremony created a memorable championship atmosphere for all participants.
Strong media coverage, live streaming and dedicated social content helped showcase artistic swimming to new audiences across Australia and Oceania.
Over 290 athletes and approximately 250 routines highlighted the sport’s growth and the strength of the artistic swimming community.
The event was powered by an incredible volunteer team, expert officials and supportive partners who ensured smooth delivery across all competition days.

Congratulations to Sydney Emeralds – Inaugural Winners of the Australian Club Sportsmanship Award

Artistic Swimming Australia is proud to congratulate the Sydney Emeralds as the inaugural recipients of the Australian Club Sportsmanship Award, generously donated by Kerrie & Bianca Hammett.

As this was the first year of the award, all Australian clubs were invited to vote, selecting the club they believed best embodied the values that uplift our Championships environment.

The award recognises a club that consistently displays enjoyment, respect, camaraderie and encouragement—qualities that strengthen our community and set the tone for a positive, inclusive and supportive competition experience.
